Ariana Grande Defends Fiance Pete Davidson’s Manchester Bombing Joke

Ever since Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson got engaged, quickly following her break-up with longtime boyfriend Mac Miller, fans have been really iffy about the relationship between the pair, who got engaged just weeks after dating.

Recently concerned followers of the pop singer started to point out a terrible joke made from Davidson about the Manchester bombing, and followers have been asking Ariana for some answers regarding the bad joke that her fiance made.


During a set on SNL last year in October, Pete was on the topic of his now fiance’s rise in fame, saying that she must know how famous she is because “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.”

After the bad joke was made a mother of a 15-year-old victim told The Mirror, “For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting, and I think he should publicly apologize for it.

Many of Ariana’s fans have reached out to the singer about the inappropriate joke made by her soon-to-be husband, one fan Tweeted “I respect Ariana and I want her to be happy and everything, but she was just broken after the Manchester bombing, so I don’t know why she is still with Pete, like yeah he made that joke a while ago, but like it’s not funny, it’s just rude. This is my opinion.”


The singer finally responded back saying, “this has been v tough & conflicting on my heart. he uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are. we all deal w trauma differently. I of course didn’t find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn’t/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate.” Davidson, 24, is known to make’ coping mechanism’ jokes out of terrible situations , even joking about the 9/11 attack his father was killed in.
