Channing Tatum and his wife of 8 years, Jenna Dewan have decided to call it quits. The couple released a joint statement to their Instagram pages revealing that their marriage is over.
“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing’s changed about how much we really love one another, but love’s a beautiful adventure taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets or salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best friends realizing it is time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We’re still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents to Everly.”
While the news comes to a shock to many — sources say their marriage has been struggling for a while now. “They have been fighting the last couple of years – quite a bit. There’s a sense of relief on both of their parts. They’ve tried working on things and had therapy, but nothing changed.” Whether holds truth or not — we know it had nothing to do with any bedroom problems.
“We definitely have a very happy and healthy sex life,” Jenna told Cosmopolitan in 2017.
There were no signs of the couple heading toward divorce with mushy posts and public affection it is evident these two had a great love for each other. Even in the separation announcement the two seem to still have a deep love for one another. The couple met on the set of the movie “Step Up” back in 2007 and went on to get married in Malibu, California on July 11, 2009.
“I’m as happy as I possibly can be on the planet right now,” Channing told People shortly after they got hitched.
The actors are both 37-years-old and have one daughter together, Everly, 4 whom they will continue to be dedicated parents to.
It is sad to hear about their split, but we wish them all the happiness!
