Melissa Schuman, 33, the former Dream singer who accused Nick Carter of allegedly raping her in 2002 has filed a report with cops over the incident.

Schuman, who was 18 at the time of the incident filed a sexual assault report against Carter with the Santa Monica Police Department, according to TMZ.

Nick Carter remains firm in saying that all sexual encounters between the two were always consensual on both ends.

“I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations. Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual,” he said in a statement.

“We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally. This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.”

The former band member of Dream recalls the encounter to be very different than how Carter describes. She says Carter forcibly performed oral sex on her and made her reciprocate. Schuman claims Carter took her to his bedroom and forced her to have intercourse.

“I felt scared and trapped. He was visually and clearly growing very angry and impatient with me. I couldn’t leave. It was evident to me, that i couldn’t leave. He was stronger and much bigger than me,” she wrote on her blog titled ” Don’t worry, I won’t tell anybody.”

Schuman’s report will be given to the Los Angeles Police Department’s special crimes unit, according to TMZ
