On Friday, around 6.pm. masked men, who were armed with knives, interrupted a child’s birthday party demanding weed and money in Norfolk. Three men, who police believe to have broke into the wrong address, came through the back door of the home where a 10-year-old birthday party was being held to demand money and drugs, residents told the local media.
Inspector Graham Dalton, the local policing lead for Norfolk police, said, “This must have been very distressing for those involved and I want to reassure the victims and other local residents that we are doing everything we can to find the offenders quickly.
“I do believe this is connected to Operation Gravity drug dealing and would ask anyone with information regarding those involved to contact the police immediately.”
Norfolk police launched Operation Gravity back in 2016 to stop county line drug dealers from coming into the county. Nobody was injured during the attempted robbery, a woman’s had her mobile phone stolen after attempting to call the police.
