Ben & Jerry’s are always coming out with amazing new flavors and folowing along with the trends. The newest flavor the company is taking on, CBD ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s announced their plans to offer ice cream that is infused with CBD once it is federally legalized.

“We’re doing this for our fans.We aspire to love our fans more than they love us and we want to give them what they’re looking for in a fun, Ben & Jerry’s way,” CEO Matthew McCarthy said in a press statement.
Although CBD does not contain THC, the thing that gets people high, The Food and Drug Administration has restrictions on CBD-infused foods. They will be holding a meeting on May 31 to try and find a way to legalization. If legalization does happen, Ben & Jerry’s plans on using CBD that comes fro their home state Virginia to make the frozen treat.
