A sneaky cat found his way into his owners washing machine, then stayed in there through a 45-minute washing cycle and still survived. Stefani Carroll-Kirchoff was loading her washing machine when her cat named Felix jumped in without her knowing, KARE reported. “I’ve never seen them go in the washer or dryer, but I’d heard of this happening. So, I always check,” Carroll-Kirchoff said.
However, this time she missed checking right before setting her washer to the express setting with a warm wash, a cold rinse and a spin dry. When she went to check on the laundry, it was still wet. She was going to put it through the dry cycle again, then she heard something.
“I heard a little meow, and all of a sudden, I saw a little white foot go up in the air,” Carroll-Kirchoff told KARE. “I can’t tell you what that was like.”
Felix was rushed to the vet where his condition is improving, according to KARE. “I’m not sure if he recognizes us yet, but he’s leaning forward and wanting to be petted. So, that gives me some hope he knows somebody cares,” said Carroll-Kirchoff
The family has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for Felix’s medical costs.
