Celebrity Chef Nick Nairn Assaulted On His Way Home

Former Ready Steady Cook Chef, Nick Nairn was assaulted while walking home from his cookery school and left badly bruised.

The 58-year-old chef was attacked by two men on Union Row at around 1 am on Friday.

Nairn posted a picture of his badly bruised and cut face on social media, saying he was “a bit peeved but fine”.

He tole the Evening Express, “As we were walking back two guys came past us, two guys in their 20s, something was said, I’ve no idea what, we carried on walking and the next thing one of the guys hit me, I didn’t see it coming.

“I was on the deck. I was out. I think I hit my head and passed-out for a few seconds. My good looks may have been slightly dented. It didn’t break my nose. It’s just a very deep cut.”
Nairn, who became Scotland’s youngest chef to win a Michelin star in 1991, was attending an event nearby his Cook School. He was treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
