Famous NFL player Antwaun Woods was arrested on Saturday, the police attempted to stop him for speeding and found over 2 ounces of marijuana in his car.
He’s currently the start for the Dallas Cowboys and now arrested for possession of a narcotic,
Woods is a third-year lineman and the police state they noticed he was smoking marijuana while he was driving his car and failed to signal properly before switching lanes.
In addition to the traffic violations he also drove 77 mph in a 60 zone, he was then stopped and the officer that pulled him over confirmed the car smelt like marijuana.
The police officer that pulled him over says he noticed his eyes seem glazed and he didn’t seem to be aware of his surroundings.
They found him with 2 jars of marijuana in his car and a small cylinder with weed in it TMZ reports.
“Multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia” were found during the search of the vehicle, per ESPN.
“So listen, you’ve got too much marijuana, ok? So just put your hands behind your back and you’ll be placed under arrest,” the officer told Woods.
“I have no choice. You’ve got a lot,” said the arresting officer. “I can’t do anything about that.”
Woods has been out due to injury ESPN reports and wasn’t scheduled to play soon, the Dallas Cowboys will most likely re-evaluate before they’ll decide when he’s ready to play.
