Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has been handed an arrest warrant for his domestic violence charge that his ex-girlfriend of his 7-year old son filed on Friday.
A warrant was placed on him due to a threat she received that claimed he would “put a bullet in your f**king head.”
Cousins is facing a misdemeanor case and most likely will not be expected to see a visit from the cops at his home.
He is currently facing a year in jail if he is found guilty, this would be the maximum penalty if he’s found guilty.
The NBA released statements about the incident and are investigating the claims.
“We are aware of the allegation involving DeMarcus Cousins and, of course, take this claim seriously,” said the Lakers. “We are in the process of gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time.”
