DeMarcus Cousins Tears His ACL During Practice

Posted by

While practicing in Las Vegas DeMarcus Cousins experienced a set back in his conditioning that lead to a torn ACL.

Lakers signed Cousins out of hopes that he’d be able to return to his old self like when he played in Sacramento, but depending on the extent of the tear he could be sidelined for quite some time.

The big man center played well while being a part of Golden State Warriors, Lakers expected him to carry a much heavier load this upcoming season now they will have to look to JaVale Mcgee to carry his load.

Cousins was recruited by superstar Anthony Davis who looked to him for support at the Center position after being traded to the Lakers in a blockbuster deal that sent Brandon Ingram & Lonzo Ball to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Currently the only player from Davis’ Pelican days left on this Lakers squad is Rajon Rondo who has proven himself a reliable option.

Cousin’s played in 30 regular-season games for the Warriors & returned from an Achilles injury before Warriors were eliminated from the playoffs by the Toronto Raptors.
