Former Michigan football player Nate Johnson has been sentenced to four days in jail after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors to resolve a domestic assault case.
The Ann Arbor News reports a judge in Ann Arbor on Friday also sentenced the 19-year-old to six months of probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.
Johnson last month told the court he had a “physical altercation” with a woman. Under the plea agreement, the 19-year-old’s criminal record can be cleared if he follows court-imposed conditions.
Johnson was dismissed from the team after the assault, which the school said happened Sept. 30 outside a dormitory.
