Juan Rodriguez, a father to 11-month old twins, was charged with homicide after leaving his infants in a hot car while at work, killing them both, according to New York police. Investigators say the father said to had accidentally left the twins, one boy and one girl, in car seats in his car on Friday morning on his way to work.
According to the police, Rodriguez said he went back into his car that afternoon around 4 p.m. He drove two blocks before noticing the two children in the back seat “foaming at the mouth” and proceeded to call 911.
The 38-year-old man was charged with two counts of criminally negligent homicide and two counts of manslaughter, according to police.
