The Lakers new look team took a big hit when DeMarcus Cousins injured his knee, Currently they’re looking for a new center to take his spot in the rotation and rumors are swirling that they’re considering Dwight Howard & Joakim Noah.
Wojnarowski reports the Lakers are also looking at Marcin Gortat. Dwight Howard is now under contract with the Grizzlies, the team is thinking about a buyout with him, Wojnarowski reports.
“Howard is under contract with Memphis, but they’re letting him explore opportunities elsewhere. Grizzlies would gladly work on a buyout with him.”

Lakers are attempting to speak with Howard and Joakim Noah currently, he’s only played 9 games last season. When he was active he averaged 12.8 ppg, 9.2 rebounds on 62% shooting.
Howard has played with the Lakers before while Kobe was the head of the team, but this time would be different with LeBron James.
Joakim Noah played with the Memphis Grizzles last season and was able to put up 7.1 ppg, 5.7 rebounds & 2.1 assists per game.
Anthony Davis has made it obvious he doesn’t want to play the center position, the Lakers are putting in an effort to make sure they have a good rotation of centers to keep their star power forward happy.
