McDonald’s will be testing the plant-based burger from Beyond Meat in 28 restaurants in Ontario on Sept. 30, according to Reuters. The burger will be named after a popular sandwich: the P.L.T. (plant, lettuce and tomato).
Many have been waiting for the two companies to link up, which would be a good business move for both.
The interest in plant-based foods continues to grow largely — so it makes sense for McDonald’s to jump on board and test out the new Beyond burger. Hopefully, if the burger is successful at the 28 locations, we will see it come to more restaurants nationwide.
