According to the US Food and Drug Administration, Nature’s Path Foods announced a voluntary recall of more than 400,000 boxes of gluten-free cereal. The reason behind the recall is that the cereals “may contain undeclared gluten”.
Parents, be sure to check your cabinets for Choco Chimps, Gorilla Munch and Jungle Munch cereals to check if they have the recalled “Best Before” dates that are located on the FDA website.
“Other gluten-free Nature’s Path and EnviroKidz products are not impacted and are not part of this voluntary recall,” read the announcement.
“Making healthy, nutritious, organic food is our passion. We have reviewed and changed our internal practices to ensure our gluten-free cereals are not impacted in the future.” says Arjan Stephens, Executive VP of Sales & Marketing at Nature’s Path.
