Rajon Rondo was recently asked if he’d like to play next season with the L.A. Lakers and he responded with a “absolutely”.
Rondo has been injured for a big portion of the season and fans may have some concerns before agreeing with the point guard returning for upcoming season.
The veteran point guard has been the first Los Angeles Lakers player since the H.O.F Magic Johnson in 1989 to put up 17 assists and five steals in a game.
“Absolutely,” Rondo spoke with ESPN and asked if he’d like to return to the Lakers next season. “Absolutely. I mean, the only way we can go from here is up.
”So, I don’t know what the future holds as far as the summer — if I come back, or who else comes back or if I don’t come back. Those things are out of my control. But at the same time, it’s a great organization. I can’t say enough about the staff and the people who work here. They’re really kind and helpful, so I want to continue, if I can, help this organization grow.”
Rondo is currently reaching the end of his Los Angeles Lakers deal and is currently averaging 8.7 ppg, 5.2 rebounds & 7.9 assists in 42 games.
