A new survey from CandyStore.com has confirmed that the “worst Halloween candy” is candy corn — the popular multi-colored candies that are seen everywhere around Halloween.
“Candy corn slid up into the No. 1 spot this year. Knocking circus peanuts off the throne. Which is really saying something,” CandyStore.com wrote on their blog.
CandyStore.com surveyed over 30,000 customers on their least favorite Halloween candy. The company then “mashed” those results with data from 12 online rankings of the best and worst candies. The results ended with candy corn being the worst candy.
“Candy corn is nothing special. There are absolutely better candies out there,” the site reads. “But if you can’t enjoy stuffing handfuls of candy corn into your pie hole, well, I don’t even know what to tell you. But clearly, I’m well in the minority.”
Coming in second worst was circus peanuts — which was voted last year’s worst candy on CandyStore.com.
