Disney is always looking to innovate and push the envelope in their production but almost made a mistake that could of put a dent in the popular franchise Spider-Man. While on the Jimmy Kimmel show Tom Holland shared a story about himself no one knew. The Spider-Man actor revealed that he saved Spider-Man although it wasn’t 100% him he played a big part in the revitalization of the popular movie.
Spider-Man was removed from the Marvel Cinematic Universe also known as the “MCU” fans went through a moment of rage and unpleasant feelings Sony & Disney decided that they would actually allow him to remain apart of the MCU and it made a big difference in the franchise. Tom Holland revealed he made a call to the CEO of Disney and that may have put the decision to keep Spider-Man in the MCU into the fans favor.
Tom Holland also revealed that prior to the Jimmy Kimmel show he’d never met Will Smith although they’d been working together for over 2-years.
He admits to Jimmy Kimmel of being drunk while speaking with the CEO of Disney about the role for the movie Spider-Man “I’m like 3 pints in, haven’t eaten much and I get a phone call from an unknown number and I have a feeling thinking I believe this is Bob Iger, but I’m drunk”. He takes the call and the rest is history.
