Trader Joe’s has dropped their very own version of the infamous Beyond Burger. As of January 20th, you can now head over to your local Trader Joe’s to get Trader Joe’s new Protein Patties for $4.49 (two patties). A little cheaper than the Beyond Burgers price point of $4.99.
Trader Joe’s new Protein Patties looks like real meat patties, using beets for color, pea protein, sunflower oil, and a blend of seasonings to really amp up the flavor of the vegan meat alternative. In a statement to Food & Wine, Trader Joe’s said, “Folks are increasingly going for meatless burgers for all kinds of reasons, but we like to think that one reason in particular is primarily responsible: plant-based burgers have gotten really, really good recently.That’s why we decided to bring in our very own Trader Joe’s Protein Patties.”
