Trea Young decided to step away from Team USA, news broke that the point guard experienced a minor injury that lead up to him removing himself.
The players on team USA already had been selected and most likely Young would not of made the cut.
Trae Young has to leave Team USA camp because of a minor eye infection, sources said. He’d been playing well on the Select Team last few days.

The starting point guard for the Atlanta Hawks quickly posted on Twitter about the injury:
Team USA will go ahead and continue as normal and get ready for the FIBA World Cup.
