A woman was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, after she was seen stomping on on sea turtles nest, according to police. 41-year-old Yaqun Lu was seen by people and police officers on Saturday “jabbing at the sea turtle nest” and “stomping all over the nest with her bare feet,” according to the arrest affidavit.

The area to which the woman entered was closed off to the public with yellow tape and a sign that said, “Do not disturb sea turtle nest,” says the affidavit.
Lu faces a charge of marine turtle or egg molestation or harassment, according to court records. “Thankfully,” Miami Beach police said, “it appears the eggs were not damaged.”
