“Grease” fans will soon be getting a prequel to the hit 1978 musical. Paramount Studios is currently developing a prequel to “Grease” that will be called “Summer Loving.” According to Deadline, the Aladdin screenwriter John Augustis set to write the script.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the prequel will be about the summer fling between Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson that is talked about in the song “Summer Nights.” “Grease 2,” which starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caulfield, followed the hit maker in 1982.
There is a chance that the prequel will not actually come out, but if so, it will make a ton of fans (including myself) happy, given that the hit 70s movie has still remained a favorite through the years.
