Playing his last game in what might be his final appearance as a Pelican Anthony Davis is left feeling unsure about his future with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Davis spoke with reporters in an interview and wasn’t worried about when he would be traded.
Currently Davis has 1 year left on his contract for next season and has already made it clear he’d prefer not to be with the team.
ESPN reports davis saying: “I’m under contract still,” Davis said. “I have a year left. Obviously it’s a possibility it could happen. I don’t have ill will towards anybody. I know that it’s a possibility that next year I could be here as well. So I can’t be mad if I’m here next year.
“Seeing what happens. Seeing who the Pelicans make their GM and having a conversation with that person about the future. My time here has always been great. I love playing here. It’s something that I will definitely hold in my heart forever, but the next step is waiting on the Pelicans.”
Anthony Davis will be ending his 18-19 NBA season averaging 25.9 points, 12 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.4 blocks per game in 56 games.
