Target and The Fresh Market are recalling certain products made by Elevation Foods. It is a recall for listeria contamination in the two brands, Archer Farms and Fresket.
According to the FDA, the listeria bacteria is serious and can be deadly for some if consumed. The company is working with distributors and retailers “to quarantine and recover an impacted product remaining on store shelves,” according to the administration.
Elevation Foods discovered the bacteria after testing some egg salad. The company is trying to figure out where the bacteria came from. Consumers are advised by the FDA to discard or return any recalled items for a full refund. No sicknesses have been reported.
