Police have found the body of a small child in Richardson. Police have not confirmed the identity of the child, however, they believe it most likely belongs to missing three-year-old Sherin Mathews.
The body was found near Spring Valley Road and Bowser Road in a culvert at around 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Sherin has been missing since October 7th after she was sent outside at around 3 a.m. as punishment for not drinking her milk, according to her father
Police and the community have been searching for the missing girl since that Saturday.
Through the investigation, her father, Wesley, was arrested for child endangerment, but has since bonded out.
Police are awaiting confirmation from the medical examiner on the identity of the body that was found.
