Many people most likely let the incident with Zimmerman go given that he got acquitted for killing a 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, This was 7-years ago today he’s suing the family of Martin for over $100 Million in damages.
His lawsuit claims that the case that was built against him was on false evidence and conspiracy.
He’s also stating that Rachel Jeantel who was considered a key witness, was an “impostor and fake witness.”.
The parents of the 17-year old victim Tayvon Martin released a statement and dismissed the lawsuit calling it “another failed attempt to defend the indefensible and a shameless attempt to profit off the lives and grief of others.”.
The victim Martin lived in Miami, He was killed by Zimmerman who at the time claimed it was out of self-defense and the incident took place while he was walking to his father’s girlfriend house in a gated community of Sanford.
The family accused Zimmerman of “re-victimizing individuals whose lives were shattered by his own misguided actions,”
“This tale defies logic,” said the family “and it’s time to close the door on these baseless imaginings.”.
